  • My product has turned yellow/brownish. What's wrong?
There are a few products that may discolor over time. These can include: Candles Body Butter Lotion Bars Body Milk Bath Salts Tiny Treats Soap Co products are made using pure ingredients and contain no ultraviolet stabilizers. In bright sunlight or under florescent lights they can turn yellow or have the natural color of the product fade. This does not change the scent or degrade the product in any way. To avoid this from happening, keep your products away from the window or from bright overhead lights or lamps. Another reason for discoloration is due to the fragrance. Some fragrances contain small amounts of vanilla to produce their wonderful aroma. Vanilla is a flavor derived from orchids. Vanilla pods start out very green and then darken to brown as the pod ages and ripens. The darkening of the vanilla bean is caused by various reactions in some of the components — mainly the vanillin. Vanillin is the organic compound that gives vanilla its flavor. Vanillin discoloration is a 100% natural process that can be slowed by adding chemicals to stabilize the fragrance (which I will not do). Even then, the reaction and discoloration will still occur slowly over time. This color can range anywhere from a slight yellow all the way to a dark brown (the same color as a dried vanilla pod and real vanilla extract). This does not affect the quality of the product.
  • My bath salts appear to be wet. Are they safe to use?
Tiny Treats' Salt Soaks contain Dead Sea salt. The Dead Sea has greater concentrations of minerals than any other ocean. The higher the concentration of minerals in the salt, the wetter they become. This does not affect the quality of the salts whatsoever.
  • Where can I buy your products in person?
There are a handful of locations that carry our prodcuts, but inventory varies by store. It is best to contact the store directly to see what products they have. If a particular location doesn't carry the item you are looking for, you will need to place an order on the site!
  • Are any of your ingredients verified by ECOCERT?
Yes! We do carry a few items that are ECOCERT approved. These raw ingredients include our Shea Butter, Dead Sea Mud, Fractionated Coconut Oil, and Vitamin E oil. ECOCERT is the world's leading certification body for organic farming, natural & organic cosmetics, textiles, food quality and safety, fair trade, forestry practices, and home-use products. The philosophy behind ECOCERT's establishment was to become the driving force behind sustainable economic growth that values our environment and natural resources, work towards healthier alternatives and solutions, as well as set the international standards required to unite global efforts in sustainable development. ECOCERT Greenlife, a subsidiary body of ECOCERT, is responsible for approving and certifying non-food products including natural or organic cosmetics and raw materials. Established in 2009, it supports cosmetic companies that seek to join this revolutionary movement towards safer, more socially responsible, and planet-friendly long-term solutions.
